Ok,, almost two months late to the parrty, but what the helll.

I think there's definetly going to be some popping, but not nearly to the same level as Web 1.0.

Some of the newer start ups are learning that you have to include monetization into your business plan. *cough* Weblo.com *cough*.

I also feel very strongly about PPS (Pay Per Sale) advertising becoming a much bigger force in the advertising inductry, especially for social networking sites.

The bubble won't be the same as web 1.0, for a number of reasons:
- Web 2.0 companies generally don't have the assets of web 1.0 companies so there won't be a fire sale of kit
- Web 2.0 companies aren't getting the kind of funding that web 1.0 companies attracted
- Web 2.0 companies won't leave a major hole in the eco system, since the barrier to entry is so much lower
- The wealth of the bubble isn't spreading widely so most people won't notice the difference when it subsides
- The big question is where the VCs are going to unload all their cash?
- When is google going to get legalled by antitrust regulators?
- The disruptive innovation is the post-PC arena of smartphones and mobile devices dominated by more traditional businesses
